Dr. Elami obtained his medical degree (M.D.) from the University of Vermont College of Medicine (UVM) in May 1992, followed by residency training (Maine Medical Center / UVM / Henry Ford Health System) before starting his private practice (Housecall Physicians) in Portage, MI, in 2002.

He has since provided adult / older adult / geriatric medical care to multiple South West Michigan communities within the standard insurance-based system. He is well familiar with the new challenges of healthcare delivery and will help you navigate the difficulties. In order to remedy and bypass some of the shortcomings of the traditional model, he will be providing services through the Direct Primary Care (DPC) approach.

With the DPC model, you will have consistent, reliable access to Dr. Elami to address your primary medical issues in a timely, private, and personal manner. Most importantly, as your health is the reason for all of the healthcare enterprise, that will be his focus. He will closely evaluate, treat, and monitor your well-being with a fine tooth comb.
